Getting Started

How do I create my first project?

Creating your first project is simple and takes just a few steps:

  1. Log in to your Inspace account at inspace.lu/auth/login
  2. Navigate to the Projects section from the main menu
  3. Click the "Create New Project" button
  4. Fill in your project details: name, client information, location, and description
  5. Start adding spaces (rooms) to organize your furniture selections

Each project can contain multiple spaces, and each space can have multiple configured furniture items. This hierarchical structure helps you organize complex design projects efficiently.

What is the difference between projects and spaces?

Projects represent your overall design assignments or client work. Think of them as the top-level container for all related furniture selections.

Spaces are subdivisions within a project, typically representing physical rooms or areas:

  • Living Room, Bedroom, Office, Kitchen, etc.
  • Spaces can be nested up to 5 levels deep for complex layouts
  • Each space maintains its own inventory of configured items
  • You can create offers for an entire project or specific spaces

This organization allows you to manage large-scale interior design projects with multiple rooms and areas efficiently.

How do I verify my email address?

Email verification is required to access all platform features. Here's how:

  1. Check your email inbox for a message from Inspace
  2. Click the verification link in the email
  3. If you don't see it, check your spam or junk folder
  4. You can request a new verification email from your account page

Once verified, you'll have full access to create projects, configure items, submit offers, and communicate with resellers.

3D Configurator

How does the 3D configurator work?

The 3D configurator is a powerful tool that lets you customize furniture in real-time:

  • Browse Products: Select from our extensive catalogue of furniture from premium brands
  • Customize: Change materials, colors, dimensions, and features to match your design vision
  • Visualize: See your customizations rendered in high-quality 3D from any angle
  • Save: Add your configured items directly to project spaces with one click
  • Modify: Return to edit any saved configuration using the "reopen" feature

All configurations include accurate pricing that updates in real-time as you make changes.

Can I modify a configured item after saving it?

Yes! Every saved item includes a "reopen" link that takes you back to the exact configuration state.

To modify a saved item:

  1. Go to your project and locate the item in its space
  2. Click the "Edit" or "Reconfigure" button
  3. The 3D configurator opens with all your previous selections intact
  4. Make your changes and save again

Note: Items that are already included in submitted offers cannot be modified until the offer is resolved.

Why are prices different from the brand's website?

Inspace uses a transparent pricing model with three price levels:

  • Original Price: The catalog MSRP from the manufacturer
  • Configured Price: The price after your customizations (may be higher or lower based on options)
  • Final Price: After reseller discounts are applied through propositions

Our network of authorized resellers compete to offer you the best pricing on your configured items, often providing significant savings compared to retail prices.

How do offers and propositions work?

The Inspace procurement process is designed to get you the best prices:

  1. Create Offer: Select configured items from your project spaces
  2. Submit: Send your offer request to our network of authorized resellers
  3. Receive Propositions: Resellers submit competitive pricing (typically within 24-48 hours)
  4. Compare: Review propositions with transparent pricing breakdowns
  5. Select: Choose the best proposition for your needs
  6. Order: Your selection automatically converts to an order

You can track everything from your dashboard with real-time status updates.

How long does it take to receive propositions?

Most proposition requests receive responses within 24-48 hours. The timeline depends on:

  • Item complexity: Custom configurations may require additional verification
  • Brand availability: Some brands have more resellers in our network
  • Request timing: Weekday submissions typically receive faster responses

You'll receive email notifications as propositions arrive, and you can set a deadline for reseller responses when creating your offer.

How do I track my order status?

Order tracking is available through your Orders dashboard:

  • Confirmed: Order placed with the reseller
  • In Production: Items being manufactured or prepared
  • Shipped: Order dispatched with tracking information
  • Delivered: Items arrived at destination

You'll receive email notifications at each milestone, and can communicate directly with the reseller through our messaging system if you have questions.

Account & Settings

How do I change my password?

To change your password:

  1. Go to Account Settings
  2. Click on the "Security" tab
  3. Enter your current password for verification
  4. Enter and confirm your new password
  5. Click "Update Password"

If you've forgotten your password, use the "Forgot Password" link on the login page to reset it via email.

How do I manage my notification preferences?

Control your notifications from Account Settings:

  • Email Notifications: Proposition updates, order status, system alerts
  • Marketing Emails: Product updates, platform news, tips
  • In-App Notifications: Real-time updates while using Inspace

We respect your preferences and only send essential transactional emails (like order confirmations) regardless of settings.

How do I delete my account?

We're sorry to see you go. To delete your account:

  1. Go to Privacy Settings
  2. Scroll to "Delete Account" section
  3. Review the data that will be removed
  4. Confirm deletion by entering your password

Important: Account deletion is permanent. Any active orders will be completed, but you'll lose access to project history and configurations. Consider exporting your data first.

Technical Support

What should I do if I encounter technical issues?

If you experience technical problems, try these steps:

  1. Refresh the page and try logging in again
  2. Clear browser cache and cookies (Settings → Privacy → Clear Data)
  3. Check our services status page for any known outages
  4. Try a different browser or device
  5. Ensure JavaScript is enabled and ad-blockers aren't interfering

If issues persist, contact support with: your browser type/version, the specific error message, and what you were attempting to do.

Which browsers are supported?

Inspace supports all modern browsers:

  • Chrome (recommended) - version 90+
  • Firefox - version 88+
  • Safari - version 14+
  • Edge - version 90+

For the best 3D configurator experience, we recommend using Chrome with hardware acceleration enabled. Mobile browsers are supported, but desktop provides the optimal configuration experience.

The 3D configurator isn't loading. What should I do?

The 3D configurator requires WebGL support. Try these solutions:

  1. Enable hardware acceleration in your browser settings
  2. Update your graphics drivers to the latest version
  3. Check that WebGL is enabled (visit get.webgl.org to test)
  4. Disable browser extensions that might block WebGL
  5. Try switching to Chrome if using a different browser

If you're on a corporate network, check with your IT department as WebGL might be restricted.
